Christine Henry is an extremely talented and prolific artist with a very particular style. Each work is unique; in the case of the Tree of Life, one of her most sought-after scarves at Hermès, she meticulously inscribes a motif that "tells the story of the bond that has always united man with vegetation". It is presented in a magnificent and rare vibrant Hermès orange color.
Text from Hermès booklets: "Like a metaphor, this tree of fabric tells us about the bond that has always united man with plants, a primordial element in the composition of textiles. In the tropics, bark was beaten to make it soft and supple; in West Africa, hibiscus was used; in India, jute; in Asia, certain varieties of nettles... Flowers, leaves, and fruits provided their colors.
