Silk twill scarf, 90 x 90 cm, titled "Paris qui roule". Designed by Hugo Grygkar and first issued in 1951, then reissued in 2006, it is presented here in a white and pink colorway with a magnificent pink hand-rolled edge highlighting the depth of the scarf.
It features the "brides de gala" inspiration as well as Grygkar's beloved equestrian theme with carriage wheels surrounding a central medallion, a powerful geometry serving a coherent whole. The reissue of a piece that was already very modern for its time.
The condition of this scarf is very good: plump hand-rolled edges but small imperfections including slightly darkened creases. (last photos)
