90 x 90 cm silk twill scarf titled "Les Trois Mousquetaires" in black.
This Hermès scarf has a unique design history: the illustrations were initially drawn by Philippe Ledoux, whose death in 1975 interrupted the work. His nephew, Vladimir Rybaltchenko, took over and completed the design. The scarf has never been reissued, making it doubly rare.
The design depicts Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and d'Artagnan in 17th-century musketeer attire, with swords, capes, and feathered hats, in a deep black color highlighted with yellow and ivory. The richness of detail in this piece is remarkable; new elements are discovered with every glance.
The condition is very good: plump rolled edges, with very slight, barely visible traces, bearing witness to its age. A rare and collectible piece.
Sold with its Hermès scarf box and bolduc.
