90 x 90 cm twill silk carré titled "Le Monde Est Vaste" (The World Is Vast). Designed by Cyrille Diatkine and issued in 2009, the author invites us to travel thanks to a world map adorned with striped bands in pastel and lilac colors, accompanied by country names and cartographic details.
The design superimposes two universes: Hermès' characteristic cartographic rigor and the designer's light approximation, a poetic combination that Cyrille Diatkine also uses in his work depicting the life of Pierre Loti, available on my website.
This scarf is in very good condition: plump hand-rolled edges, a few small pulled threads, and tiny, very discreet stains (visible in the last three photos). Its overall appearance remains excellent.
Sold with an Hermès carré box and its bolduc ribbon.
